| In 1992, Montblanc introduced the Hemmingway, the first of the Writer's series. A big, bold pen, it has since become one of the most popular and highly sought after of limited edition pens, despite having a rather large production run of 25,000. In fact, all of the Writer's Series pens have production runs of over 15,000, which makes them perhaps less limited than many limited editions, but certainly no less avidly collected. Unlike many limited edition pens, the Writer's Series are very usable pens, based on the 146 or 149 sized Montblanc pens, they offer attractive designs, without being too large or heavy for daily use. |
